Kindness drives results
For years, Anuradha believed that being a "star student" required a kind of magic she simply didn’t possess. Despite her best efforts, traditional classroom methods—listening to lectures and completing standard homework—left her behind. She wasn't failing for a lack of trying; she was failing because she didn't yet know that the lack of belief in self played a large role. To her, the dreaded "take-home report" wasn't a motivator; it was a source of confusion that reinforced the feeling that she wasn't enough.
The turning point didn't come from a new textbook, but from a human connection. When a teacher finally expressed to her that she had the potential, the dynamic shifted. She needed to be treated as a human being with unique potential rather than a machine expected to produce "A" grades. This shift in perspective transformed learning from a chore into a source of joy.
Anuradha entered her senior year struggling to keep pace with the rigorous AP Calculus curriculum, with her initial performance falling far short of her potential. However, through the unwavering belief of a teacher and the dedicated support of a tutor, she bridged the gap. She ended that year earning a 5 on the AP exam—a top-tier score that proved the right support could make the impossible achievable.
Anuradha founded Kindred Tutors to "Be The Gap" for students facing those same hurdles. We serve the students who lack a support system, those who struggle to believe in their own value, and those who currently view school as a burden. We aren't just here to improve grades; we are here to ensure every student knows they are enough.
